Why you might ask? Today is the anniversary of Elvis's death. On August 16, 1977, Elvis was to begin another tour that night when that afternoon Alden ( his friend ) discovered him unresponsive on his bathroom floor. His death
was officially pronounced at 3:30 pm at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
The world stopped as we knew it when everyone had to listen be noticed that The King was no longer with us on this earth. His health problem took a turn for the worse 4 years earlier when his divorce from Priscilla took effect on October 9, 1973. He overdosed on barbiturates twice that year, and went into a coma for three days in his hotel. His drug habit started in the army, where they gave him sleeping pills to fall asleep during time time. He had a pill to make him fall asleep, and a pill to make him wake up. His death was caused by overdosing on drugs.
